About Me

Living in Tauranga, I am married with five adult children. In my earlier employment, I worked for the Department of Corrections and was constantly confronted with damaged people who had experienced various degrees of abuse and complex trauma during formative years. This inspired me to train as a psychologist. I worked for six years as an addiction specialist with Salvation Army Bridge. I now run my own private practice, Psychological Services BOP.

I am trained in an eclectic mix of psychological therapies that include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples (EFT).

While I have had some involvement with Christian organisations and prayer ministry, my approach is inclusive, non-judgmental and welcoming to people of all backgrounds and beliefs.
