About Me

I live in Tauranga with my wife and our five adult children. My journey into psychology began through my early work with the Department of Corrections, where I regularly encountered individuals facing deep emotional pain and trauma, often stemming from abuse during their formative years. This experience ignited a passion in me to better understand and support people on their healing journeys, leading me to pursue training as a psychologist.

For six years, I worked as an addiction specialist with Salvation Army Bridge, where I had the privilege of helping people navigate some of the toughest chapters of their lives. Today, I run my own private practice, Psychological Services BOP, where I continue my work with individuals and couples, supporting them through their struggles.

I am trained in a diverse range of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples (EFT), EMDR, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). This eclectic approach allows me to tailor therapy to meet the unique needs of each person I work with.

Although I have experience with Christian organizations and prayer ministry, my practice is inclusive and welcoming to individuals of all backgrounds and beliefs. I am committed to offering a compassionate, non-judgmental space for everyone seeking support and healing.
